Cephalogram or Cephalostat
The lateral cephalogram of the head is part of the morphological diagnostics in jaw and dental orthopaedics. The cephalometric analysis is based on the lateral image of the head, upon which internationally agreed-upon and repeatable reference points on bone structures, teeth, and soft parts of the head and face are marked. Distances and angles, marked by the lines, are measured between the points.
The technology of the OP300 guarantees a cephalogram with the lowest radiation doses the patient receives; we reduce the field of imaging. Therefore, the patient does not receive any radiation doses to the upper part of the head (calvaria).
The imaging is painless and only lasts 16 seconds.
